Fęrsluflokkur: Ķrak

Stušningur viš ķraksstrķšiš mešal Repśblķkana dalar

LA Times greinir frį žvķ ķ morgun aš sigurstranglegustu forsetaframbjóšendur repśblķkanaflokksins hafi allir gefiš ķ skyn aš žó žeir hafi įšur lżst sig fylgjandi stefnu forsetans sé ekki vķst aš žeir muni halda įfram aš styšja hersetu og žįtttöku Bandarķkjanna ķ borgarastrķši žvķ sem nś geisar ķ Ķrak. Mitt Romney, fyrrum fylkisstjóri Massachusetts, Rudy Giuliani, fyrrum borgarstjóri New York, og Fred Thompson, fyrrum öldungadeildaržingmašur Tennessee, hafa undanfarna daga allir sagt ķ vištölum viš blašamenn aš žeir kunni aš styšja stefnubreytingu ķ Ķrak. John McCain hefur hinsvegar ķtrekaš lżst sig fylgjandi stefnu forsetans.

Kannanir sżna aš kjósendur Repśblķkanaflokksins hafa snśiš baki viš strķšinu ķ Ķrak. Samkvęmt nżrri könnun Gallup telja ašeins 37% kjósenda flokksins aš nśverandi stefna muni bera įrangur, og 42% kjósenda repśblķkana vilja aš ...

Skżrslur Bandarķkjaforseta um įstand ķ Ķrak munu ekki sżna neinn įrangur af "the surge"

LA Times greinir svo frį žvķ ķ morgun aš įrangurinn af The Surge, ž.e.

Įblašamannafundi į mįnudaginn tilkynnti fulltrśi hersins, meš töluveršu stolti, aš Said Hamza, hęttulegasti leištogi Al Qaeda ķ Ķrak hefši veriš drepinn.

Brig. Gen. Kevin Bergner began his Monday news conference with a list of top insurgents either killed or captured in recent operations. He said they had been eliminated "in the past few weeks" and were "recent results."

"In the north, Iraqi army and coalition forces continue successful operations in Mosul," he told reporters. "Kamal Jalil Uthman, also known as Said Hamza, was the al Qaeda in Iraq military emir of Mosul. He planned, coordinated and facilitated suicide bombings, and he facilitated the movement of more than a hundred foreign fighters through safe houses in the area." All told, Bergner devoted 68 words to Uthman's demise.

Žetta vęru aušvitaš stórfréttir, ef žęr vęru ekki įrs gamlar. Herinn hefur nefnilega įšur drepiš žennan "Said Hamza"! Fyrir įri sķšan var "Hamza" žessi nefnilega į lista yfir Al Qaeda liša sem hefšu veriš drepnir.

Uthman was listed in the 2006 news release as "the chief of military operations [in] Mosul."

When The Examiner pointed out that Uthman's death had been announced twice, a command spokesman said in an e-mail, "You are correct that we did previously announce that we killed him. This was a roll up to show an overall effort against [al Qaeda in Iraq]. We can probably do a better job on saying 'previously announced' when we do long-term roll ups to show an overall effort."

Žį er žaš loksins offisķelt: Engin gereyšingarvopn ķ Ķrak

The dog ate my WMD'sSameinušu žjóširnar hafa loksins komist aš žeirri nišurstöšu aš žaš vęri tilgangslaust aš halda įfram aš leyta aš gereyšingarvopnunum sem Saddam Hussein įtti aš hafa komiš sér upp til aš gefa Bandarķkjunum afsökun til aš gera innrįs og breyta Ķrak ķ helvķti į jöršu. Skv. AP (via CNN):

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The Security Council voted Friday to immediately close down the U.N. inspection bodies that played a pivotal role in monitoring Iraq's unconventional weapons programs under Saddam Hussein.

The resolution, approved by a vote of 14-0, terminated the mandate of the U.N. bodies responsible for overseeing the dismantling of Hussein's programs to develop nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and long-range missiles.

En žaš eru žó ekki allir žeirrar skošunar aš žaš sé ljóst aš žaš séu ekki gereyšingarvopn einhverstašar ķ Ķrak:

Russia abstained, saying there was still "no clear answer to the existence of weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq.

Ég geri rįš fyrir aš höršustu stušningsmenn strķšsins ķ Ķrak muni halda įfram aš fylgja Kremlarlķnunni ķ žessu eins og öllu öršu. Flokkurinn og foringinn geta jś ekki hafa haft į röngu aš standa!

Stušningur viš strķšiš ķ Ķrak aldrei minni

Götumynd frį BaghdadSamkvęmt nżrri könnun CNN hefur stušningur viš ķraksstrķšiš aldrei veriš minni. Innan viš žrišjungur žjóšarinnar styšur strķšsrekstur forsetans:
In the poll, which was carried out Friday through Sunday, 30 percent of respondents said they favor the war in Iraq; 41 percent said they oppose it because they think the 2003 decision to go to war was a mistake; 26 percent said they oppose it because they think it has been mismanaged; and 3 percent said they had no opinion.
69% segja strķšiš ganga ķlla, žar af langflestir, eša 44% allrar žjóšarinnar "very badly". Almenningur hefur enga trś į aš įstandiš muni batna - og tveir žrišju hlutar žjóšarinnar vilja aš herinn verši kvaddur heim:
Nearly two-thirds of those polled want withdrawal of U.S. troops to begin — either in part or in total. Asked what the United States should do about the number of U.S. troops in Iraq, just 17 percent said it should send more troops; 16 percent said keep the numbers the same; 24 percent said withdraw some troops; and 39 percent said withdraw all troops.

so many bodies have been dumped in the river during the sectarian blood-letting that has divided the capital that residents do not go near the water. They would certainly not consume what comes out of it, particularly the large fish that feed off the Tigris riverbed.

Some Islamic religious leaders have even issued fatwas, declaring that fish caught in the river are unclean and unfit for human consumption.

Jei fyrir śtbreišslu lżšręšis!

Walter Reed enn ķ fréttum: Öryggisveršir ķ skotbardaga, viš hvorn annan!

Bush heimsękir hermenn į Walter ReedĶ gęrkvöld bįrust fréttir af skotbardaga fyrir utan Walter Reed herspķtalann - en sį spķtali viršist vera eitt af fordyrum helvķtis (sjį fyrri fęrslur mķnar um Walter Reed frį žvķ įšan, og svo hér og hér):

WASHINGTON -- An armed security guard fired at least 10 shots at another guard during an argument outside a busy entrance to Walter Reed Army Medical Center early Wednesday, police said. No one was hurt.

"This was rush hour on a busy thoroughfare. There were cars and pedestrians in the line of fire," said police Cmdr. Hilton Burton. At least two parked cars across the street were hit.

Öryggisvöršurinn skaut alls tķu skotum aš einum af samstarfsmönnum sķnum:

The guard who was fired upon ran to a nearby house to call police. The other guard, Dwan Thigpen, 34, of Fort Washington, Md., was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder. He was scheduled to appear in court Thursday, police said. Police and jail officials did not know whether Thigpen had an attorney.

Öryggisverširnir vinna fyrir eitt af verktakafyrirtękjunum sem hafa tekiš aš sér aš endurskapa į Walter Reed alla ömuršina og hörmungarnar sem hermennirnir eiga aš venjast frį Ķrak. Yfirmenn Walter Reed hafa lķklega sest į fund og įkvešiš aš sjśklingarnir söknušu kaotķskra og óvęntra skotbardaga?

The guards worked for Vance Federal Security Services, said Joe Gavaghan, a spokesman for the company, which contracts with Walter Reed. Vance is "cooperating with authorities investigating this incident," said Gavaghan, adding that the company could not provide additional details.

En žó Repśblķkanar vęru tilbśnir til aš fyrirgefa Giuliani allt hans flip-flop ķ kringum réttindi samkynhneigšra og fóstureyšingar, og horfa framhjį klęšskiptihneigšinni* - og žó ašrir kjósendur vęru til ķ aš fyrirgefa hversu ķlla hann bjó borgina undir hryšjuverkaįrįsir eša önnur stórslys (Slökkvilišsmenn ķ New York hafa aš vķsu ekki fyrirgefiš honum, sbr. žessa frétt New York Times), er eitt sem allir eru sammįla um: Giuliani skortir reynslu af utanrķkismįlum - nokkuš sem er sérstaklega bagalegt fyrir stjórnmįlamann sem byggir fręgš sķna į 9/11 og hryšjuverkaógninni.

Sem borgarstjóri New York var Giuliani bošiš sęti ķ "The Iraq Study Group" sem rannsakaši įstand mįla ķ Ķrak og hvaša valkostir vęru heppilegastir fyrir Bandarķkin ķ stöšunni. Mašur hefši ętlaš aš Giuliani hefši tekiš žessari nefndarsetu fegins hendi - žvķ hann hefši žannig getaš fręšst um alvarlegasta vandamįl sem Bandarķkin og nęsti Bandarķkjaforseti eiga eftir aš žurfa aš takast į viš, og ljįš žeirri hugmynd aš hann vęri einhverskonar utanrķkismįla og hryšjuverkaexpert smį trśveršugleika. Seta ķ The Iraq Study Group hefši t.d. veriš helvķti gott spil til aš hafa į hendi ķ kappręšum viš ašra frambjóšendur.

Giuliani fannst žessi fjįrans nefndarseta hins vegar vera of mikil vinna, svo hann einfaldlega mętti ekki į einn einasta fund, og eftir aš ašrir nefndarmenn, sem tóku starf sitt alvarlega, höfšu kurteislega bešiš hann aš fara aš męta į fundi, sagši hann af sér nefndarsetunni. Aš vķsu ekki fyrr en bśiš var aš hóta honum aš hann yrši rekinn śr nefndinni... (skv. Newsday)

WASHINGTON -- Rudolph Giuliani's membership on an elite Iraq study panel came to an abrupt end last spring after he failed to show up for a single official meeting of the group, causing the panel's top Republican to give him a stark choice: either attend the meetings or quit, several sources said.

Giuliani left the Iraq Study Group last May after just two months, walking away from a chance to make up for his lack of foreign policy credentials on the top issue in the 2008 race, the Iraq war.

Įstęšan var aš Giuliani var of upptekinn viš fjįröflun vegna tilvonandi forsetaframbošs sķns:

He cited "previous time commitments" in a letter explaining his decision to quit, and a look at his schedule suggests why -- the sessions at times conflicted with Giuliani's lucrative speaking tour that garnered him $11.4 million in 14 months.

Giuliani rukkar nefnilega svimandi upphęšir fyrir aš męta og tala um hversu mikiš hann hafi lęrt af įrįsunum ķ september 2001, og hversu mikil hetja hann hafi reynst žann örlagarķka dag:

On one day the panel gathered in Washington -- May 18, 2006 -- Giuliani delivered a $100,000 speech on leadership at an Atlanta business awards breakfast. Later that day, he attended a $100-a-ticket Atlanta political fundraiser for conservative ally Ralph Reed, whom Giuliani hoped would provide a major boost to his presidential campaign.

The month before, Giuliani skipped the session to give the April 12 keynote speech at an economic conference in South Korea for $200,000, his financial disclosure shows.

Aš žessu tilefni finnst mér lķka rétt aš rifja upp ummęli Jack Kingston (sjį hér og hér) sem fannst frįleitt aš žingmenn žyrftu aš vera lengur en žrjį daga į viku ķ vinnunni - og bar žvķ viš aš hann žyrfti aš vera heima ķ kjördęmi aš tala viš kjósendur "staying in touch" meš "venjulegu fólki": Hann hélt žvķ fram aš hann ynni 60 klukkutķma vinnuviku žegar allt vęri tekiš saman. Ég efast ekki heldur um aš Giuliani hafi veriš į fullu og einfaldlega ekki haft tķma til aš sitja žrautleišinlega nefndarfundi. Jafnvel žó žessi vinna sem hann er aš sękjast eftir: forsetaembęttiš, felist akkśrat ķ svona žrautleišinlegum nefndarfundum, skżrslulestri, og öšrum įlķka leišindum.

Reyndar held ég ekki aš Giuliani eša aulinn Jack Kingston séu einir um žetta. Allt bendir til žess aš Karl Rove og önnur stjórnmįlasénķ Repśblķkanaflokksins haldi aš hlutverk rķkisstjórna sé aš halda völdum og tryggja flokkshollum fjįrmįlamönnum eša hugmyndafręšilegum eldhugum huggulega innivinnu. Afleišingarnar hafa veriš žęr sömu og ķ Sovétrķkjunum žar sem frami innan rķkiskerfisins byggšist ekki į hęfileikum heldur flokkshollustu. Sbr. t.d. žessa frétt af atgerfisskorti og óstjórn ķ bandarķska sendirįšinu ķ Baghdad, žar sem hęfni umsękjenda var męld ķ stušningi viš forsetann, ekki raunverulegri reynslu.

M

In Iraq and Afghanistan, however, ordinary civilians share the battlefield with professional soldiers. Truck drivers are routinely struck by roadside bombs. Private security contractors engage in firefights with insurgents.

As a result, contractors deployed to these war zones often experience the same kind of trauma that produces psychological problems in soldiers. Military surveys estimate that 15% to 20% of soldiers in Iraq show signs of post-traumatic stress disorder, a debilitating condition often attributed to witnessing or participating in violence.

Mešan hermennirnir žurfa aš berjast viš Veterans Administration žurfa žessir menn aš fįst viš einkarekin tryggingarfyrirtęki, sem eru vķst enn verri en rķkisrekna heilbrigšiskerfiš sem viršist hafa brugšist hermönnum, ef marka mį rannsókn Washington Post. Ašalatrišiš viršist vera hvort Post Traumatic Stress Disorder sé alvöru įstand og hvort hermenn sem žjįst af martröšum og geta ekki lengur unniš venjulega vinnu eša tekiš žįtt ķ hversdagslegu lķfi, og enda margir į aš fremja sjįlfsmorš, geti kennt strķšinu um. LA Times rekur žjįningar Steve Thompson sem vann sem vörubķlstjóri ķ Ķrak:

A long-haul trucker, Steve Thompson went to work for KBR in Kuwait in May 2004, but soon ended up driving in Iraq. He repeatedly encountered small-arms fire, several times with rounds penetrating his truck. On one occasion, a roadside bomb cracked his windshield.

Thompson was never physically hurt, but he began to dread the missions and the constant risk of death. "It was like a lottery that you didn't want to win," Thompson said.

The final straw came in November 2004, when Thompson was sent to help clean up the remains of an ambush. He smelled burned flesh the moment he climbed from his truck.

Two psychologists diagnosed him with post-traumatic stress disorder. As a veteran, Thompson was able to see doctors at the local VA hospital, who also diagnosed him as suffering from PTSD.

But a doctor hired by AIG found otherwise. At a hearing in February, the doctor, John Griffith, said one diagnostic exam showed that Thompson was exaggerating his symptoms. He said Thompson did not suffer from PTSD.

Griffith said he had treated more than 100 PTSD patients but acknowledged in testimony that he had spent much of his career in pharmacological research. He also told the hearing that "a lot" of psychology was "baloney."

Washnigton Post fjallar um Jeans Cruz sem var einn hermannanna sem handsamaši Saddam Hussein, og varš einhverskonar strķšshetja žegar hann kom heim til the Bronx.

In public, the former Army scout stood tall for the cameras and marched in the parades. In private, he slashed his forearms to provoke the pain and adrenaline of combat. He heard voices and smelled stale blood. Soon the offers of help evaporated and he found himself estranged and alone, struggling with financial collapse and a darkening depression.

At a low point, he went to the local Department of Veterans Affairs medical center for help. One VA psychologist diagnosed Cruz with post-traumatic stress disorder. His condition was labeled "severe and chronic." In a letter supporting his request for PTSD-related disability pay, the psychologist wrote that Cruz was "in need of major help" and that he had provided "more than enough evidence" to back up his PTSD claim. His combat experiences, the letter said, "have been well documented."

None of that seemed to matter when his case reached VA disability evaluators. They turned him down flat, ruling that he deserved no compensation because his psychological problems existed before he joined the Army. They also said that Cruz had not proved he was ever in combat. "The available evidence is insufficient to confirm that you actually engaged in combat," his rejection letter stated.

Yet abundant evidence of his year in combat with the 4th Infantry Division covers his family's living-room wall. The Army Commendation Medal With Valor for "meritorious actions . . . during strategic combat operations" to capture Hussein hangs not far from the combat spurs awarded for his work with the 10th Cavalry "Eye Deep" scouts, attached to an elite unit that caught the Iraqi leader on Dec. 13, 2003, at Ad Dawr.

Eins og Washington Post bendir į er žetta žó ašeins toppurinn į ķsjakanum, og fyrirséš aš įstandiš eigi ašeins eftir aš versna, žvķ fjórši hver hermašur er talinn hafa oršiš fyrir sįlręnum skaša ķ Ķrak. Žaš gefur auga leiš aš herinn og skattgreišendur gętu žvķ žurft aš borga enn meira fyrir strķšiš. Žaš er hins vegar ekkert sem bendir til žess aš herinn sé aš leysa žetta vandamįl. Hundruš žśsunda bandarķkjamanna hafa tekiš žįtt ķ tilgangslausum strķšsrekstri Bush ķ Ķrak - og stór hluti žeirra eru ónżtt fólk, annaš hvort lķkamlega eša andlega. Herinn og rķkiš hefur ekki sinnt žessu fólki. Hvort "The Iraq war veteran" į eftir aš verša jafn įberandi ķ bandarķskri žjóšmįlaumręšu og dęgurmenningu og "The Vietnam war veteran" hefur veriš er óvķst, en žaš er alveg öruggt aš žetta vandamįl į ekki eftir aš hverfa śr umręšunni nęstu įrin - og žaš er lķka alveg sama hvernig strķšiš ķ Ķrak endar, framkoma stjórnarinnar gagnvart hermönnum sem hafa fórnaš limum sķnum og gešheilsu ķ Ķrak mun fylgja "arfleiš" forsetans um aldur og ęvi.

Fyrrverandi yfirmašur Bandarķkjahers ķ Ķrak: strķšiš er tapaš

Bush og Sanchez, sem ķranirnir halda aš sé ašstošarkeisari ķ BandarķkjunumLt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, sem stżrši bandarķkjaher ķ Ķrak fyrsta įriš eftir fall Baghdad lét žessi ummęli ķ vištali viš dagblašiš San Antonio Express News ķ Texas aš strķšiš ķ Ķrak vęri svo gott sem tapaš, og aš žaš besta sem Bandarķkjamenn gętu gert sér vonir um nśna vęri aš "stave off defeat"

“I think if we do the right things politically and economically with the right Iraqi leadership we could still salvage at least a stalemate, if you will — not a stalemate but at least stave off defeat,” Sanchez told the San Antonio Express-News. “It’s also kind of important for us to answer the question, ‘What is victory?’, and at this point I’m not sure America really knows what victory is.” ...

Sanchez, in his first interview since his career ended last year, is the highest-ranking former military leader yet to suggest the Bush administration fell short in Iraq. Retired Army Maj. Gen. John Batiste, who led the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq, appeared in a TV spot accusing the president of pursuing "a failed strategy that is breaking our great Army."

Sanchez, 56, who retired to San Antonio after his stint as commander of U.S. and coalition troops in Iraq, demurred when he was asked about blame.

"I'm not going to answer that question," he said. "That's something I am still struggling with and it's not about blame because there's nobody out there that is intentionally trying to screw things up for our country.  ....

En žó herforinginn telji kannski ekki aš leištogar hersins eša žjóšarinnar séu viljandi aš reyna aš tapa strķšinu er hann ekki ķ nokkrum vafa um aš leištogališ žjóšarinnar hafi brugšist:

"I am absolutely convinced that America has a crisis in leadership at this time and we've got to do whatever we can to help the next generation of leaders do better than we have done over the past five years," Sanchez said, "better than what this cohort of political and military leaders have done."

Sķšan žį hefur AFP fréttastofan einnig flutt žessa frétt, en enn sem komš er hafa engar af stóru fréttastofunum hér vestra pikkaš fréttina upp. En ein fyrsta fréttastofan til aš taka eftir žessari frétt var Alalam ķ Ķran, sem gladdist aušvitaš yfir žessum fréttum, og lżsti žvķ yfir aš "Strķšskeisari Hins Mikla Satan hefši gefist upp":

US War Czar: Victory Impossible

...The man who led occupation forces in Iraq during the first year of the invasion says the US can forget about winning the war.

Ķ skyldum fréttum: New York Times greindi fra žvķ ķ morgun aš samkvęmt mati yfirmanna bandarķkjahers ķ Baghdad hafi "the surge" ekki nįš tilętlušum įrangri - bandarķkjaher rįši varla viš įstandiš ķ einum žrišja borgarinnar! Herinn reynir ekki einu sinni aš stilla til frišar tveimur žrišju hlutum Baghdad... Ég held aš žaš geti varla talist annaš en algjör ósigur.

Update:

Ég er bśinn aš vera aš fylgjast meš fjölmišlum ķ dag, en hef ekki getaš séš aš žaš hafi neinn fjallaš um žessa frétt. Žaš getur veriš aš mér hafi yfirsést eitthvaš, en mér finnst skrżtiš aš engir af stóru amerķsku fjölmišlunum hafi séš įstęšu til žess aš nefna aš fyrrverandi ęšsti yfirmašur Bandarķkjahers ķ Ķrak - sem stżrši hernum fyrsta įr hernįmsins, sem er um leiš hęst setti herforingi sem hefur gagnrżnt strķšsreksturinn til žessa - skuli koma og segja aš strķšiš sé tapaš! Einhvernveginn fannst mér žetta nś samt fréttnęmt.

Eini blašamašurinn sem ég get séš aš hafi nefnt žetta (fyrir utan bloggara) er Keith Olberman į MSNBC sem fjallaši um ummęli Sanchez ķ žętti sķnum Countdown ķ gęrkvöld.

Peter Pace, sem er Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sem er formlega ęšsti yfirmašur Bandarķska hersins, mętti ķ vištal ķ morgunfréttatķma CBS ķ tilefni Memorial Day.

"When you take a look at the life of a nation and all that's required to keep us free, we had more than 3,000 Americans murdered on 11 September, 2001. The number who have died, sacrificed themselves since that time is approaching that number," General Pace told CBS Early Show's Harry Smith. "And we should pay great respect and thanks to them for allowing us to live free."

Žaš er vissulega rétt aš žjóšin žarf aš votta lįtnum hermönnum viršingu sķna. En žaš eru tvö smįatriši sem Pace viršist hafa yfirsést:

  1. Žaš dóu fęrri en 3000 į 9/11
  2. Žį hafa fleiri en 3000 Bandarķskir hermenn falliš ķ Ķrak...

Samkvęmt tölum Varnarmįlarįšuneytisins hafa 3441 bandarķskir hermenn dįiš ķ Ķrak* - og žaš žarf ekki aš vera śtskrifašur af ešlisfręšideild til aš vita aš talan 3441 er ekki "approaching that number [3000, ž.e.]" og žó žaš sé eitthvaš į reiki hversu margir hafi lįtist ķ hryšjuverkaįrįsunum ķ september 2001 (NYT og margir ašrir fjölmišlar segja 2750, en minningarsķšur um įrįsirnar segja 2996... og žar fyrir utan voru ekki öll fórnarlömb hryšjuverkaįrįsanna 2001 Bandarķkjamenn, žannig aš žaš er eitthvaš bogiš viš stašhęfinguna aš "we had more than 3,000 Americans murdered on 11 September, 2001"

Hvaš rekur Pace til žess aš snśa stašreyndunum į haus meš žessum hętti, og horfa fram hjį fórnum nęrri fimm hundruš hermanna er hulin rįšgįta - Annaš hvort hefur Pace žótt žaš hljóma betur aš halda žvķ fram aš žaš hefšu fęrri lįtist ķ Ķrak en ķ september 2001, og heldur aš fólk sem horfir į morgunfréttir sjónvarpsins fylgist ekki meš alvöru fréttum, eša hann er sjįlfur ekki betur aš sér en žetta. Hvort heldur er, žaš hljómar einkennilega žegar ęšsti yfirmašur hersins žykist ekki vita hversu margir hermenn hafa dįiš ķ strķši sem hann į aš vera aš heyja.

Pace er reyndar vel žekktur fyrir furšuleg ummęli. Fyrr i vor vakti hann athygli į sjįlfum sér meš žvķ aš lżsa žvķ yfir aš samkynhneigš vęri sišleysi, og aš žaš vęri ekkert plįss fyrir sišleysi ķ hernum. (Skv. CBS news):

I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts.

Herinn, og Pace, hafa svo miklar įhyggjur af žessum ósišlegheitum aš į sķšustu įrum hefur herinn rekiš 58 sérfręšinga ķ Arabķsku, vegna žess aš žeir voru samkynhneigšir - į sama tķma stendur herinn frammi fyrir alvarlegum skorti į fólki sem kann aš tala Arabķsku eša Farsi. Žessum atgerfisskorti hefur m.a. veriš kennt um hversu ķlla Bandarķkjamönnum gengur aš reka strķšiš ķ Ķrak. Herinn hefur ekki yfir aš rįša nógu mörgu fólki til aš žżša arabķskar heimildir, og veit žess vegna ekki hvaš er aš gerast ķ Ķrak...

Kannski var Pace of upptekinn viš aš hugsa um samkynhneigš til aš fylgjast meš žvķ hversu margir hermenn hefšu veriš drepnir ķ Ķrak?

*Update: Samkvęmt nżjustu tölum er tala bandarķkjamanna sem hafa lįtist ķ strķšinu ķ Ķrak komin upp ķ 3.452
